40 OVER 40 LEGACY PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION DETAILS

We’re celebrating and capturing women over 40 and their legacy through heirloom portraits and video. Our goal is to pamper, empower and document the stories of women in a sophisticated and classic styled portrait and video session recognizing their strength, beauty and wisdom. Including mothers, sisters, daughters and granddaughters is encouraged. It’s part of your legacy!

Makeover: Hair and makeup on the day of the photoshoot by our professional hair and makeup artist to make you feel amazing and stress free.

Wardrobe and pre-consultation: We will guide you on what to wear and provide you with the opportunity to borrow clothing from a local boutique. We will also discuss your expectations and goals for the photoshoot.

Photoshoot and Video: Fully guided professional photoshoot where we will pose you to get your most beautiful and authentic smiles and expressions.

You’ll receive a complimentary copy of the Legacy Portraits of Houston Magazine.

You can wear up to 3 different outfits for your photoshoot. We schedule a consultation to guide you through the process of selecting the best wardrobe for your session. We photograph you based on your personality and preferences.  We’ve also partnered with a local boutique where you can borrow new and fashionable clothing for your session.

The full production portrait studio is in League City, Texas, just south of Houston. The studio includes in-suite makeup and dressing rooms along with various studio setups and backdrops.

We have time slots available Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and very limited Saturdays by appointment. We’re excited to visit with you about what dates work for you.

Approximately 7-10 days after your photoshoot, you’ll come in for an in-person reveal session showcasing your portraits. This is when you’ll choose your favorites.

We offer beautiful products to store and display your new portraits including heirloom albums, custom folio boxes and framed wall art. Fine art portrait collections start at $2200. We take credit cards and offer payment plans as well.

We believe that women over 40 are not only physically beautiful but they possess wisdom, strength and experience through their unique and individual stories that make them inspiring and timeless. There just aren’t enough platforms for women over 40 to share their stories and their beauty. We believe legacy portraits and video are a great way to capture and celebrate this time in your life.

Certainly! You can definitely include loved ones in your shoot! Extra hair and makeup is $150 per person (if needed). Part of your story is the people (and furry pets) you love.

Yes! We would love to also have your friends be a part of this project! Please spread the word.

We totally understand that you might need to reschedule due to illness. You are allowed one reschedule more than 7 days out from the session at no charge. If we have less than 7 days notice (or this is the second time you need to reschedule) we do charge a $100 rescheduling fee.

Your session fee is $595 and includes $100 print credit applied toward your collection. The fee holds your date and allows us to book the hair and makeup artist for your shoot. It also covers the consultation, photoshoot with multiple outfit changes and inclusion in the Fabulous Over 40 magazine.

This experience is designed to make you feel pampered and celebrated in a relaxed, private setting. We have many, many years of experience photographing all types of people, and we will work with you to help you look and feel your best.

Don’t think you are photogenic? Nonsense! We’ve got you! It is our job to help you feel comfortable, and show you in your best light with flattering make-up, hair, wardrobe, and poses. Get ready for a fun and memorable day that you will be able to share with generations to come!

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHERS

Delynn Halloran and Leeanne Aguilar

Delynn and Leeanne are both Houston area photographers with decades of experience capturing individual and corporate photography. As artists, we believe that photography goes way beyond beautiful images. We share in the philosophy that the portrait experience should be just as grand and meaningful as the person.

Our mission as photographers is to create a rich experience for our clients by designing custom portrait sessions unique to the individual. Our work tells the stories of our clients by capturing their unique essence in guided photography and video sessions.

40 OVER 40 GALLERY EXHIBIT

This project will culminate in an exclusive Gallery-Style Exhibit event where we will showcase select images and videos of each woman. We will also feature these images and videos in a virtual event on our website. Celebrate and share your story by taking part in this fulfilling and transformational experience!

To participate in the showcase:

  • We will conduct a video interview with you during the photoshoot where we will ask you to tell your story and share your experiences and insights about being a woman over 40.
  • You’ll need to sign a photo and video release to share your before and after photos and video during the event, on social media, and on our website.
  • You and your guests will be invited to attend a gallery-style exhibit event where your portrait and story will be displayed and celebrated, along with those of the other women participants.
